Attending a world-class opera performance. The soprano holds a perfect high note in complete silence, and just as she finishes—the barking spider decides to audition with its own note. In an opera house with perfect acoustics.
The man next to me whispered, "I believe that was a B-flat. Quite impressive range for a spider." I almost choked trying not to laugh for the rest of the performance.
I still have the program where my companion scribbled a recommendation for some organic supplements that supposedly help with acoustic control. I was too embarrassed to explain it wasn't my spider, but I did check out their site later out of curiosity.
