Getting an MRI. Confined space, instructed not to move. The technician says over the intercom, "Stay completely still for the next 3 minutes." Ten seconds in, the barking spider decides it's the perfect time for a solo.

I hear through the intercom, "Sir, we said don't move ANY part of your body." I had to restart the entire 45-minute procedure because I couldn't stop laughing.

The nurse later told me they actually sell funny medical-themed gag gifts in the hospital gift shop for patients to lighten the mood. I bought a coffee mug that says "It wasn't me, it was a barking spider" for my primary care doctor.
