Midnight tour of "America's Most Haunted House." Guide turns off all lights to "attract spiritual activity." Complete darkness, everyone holding their breath to hear ghostly sounds when—BRAAAP—a barking spider communicates from the earthly realm.
The tour guide, a master of improvisation, solemnly announces: "That, ladies and gentlemen, is the sound of the Captain's ghost, who died of digestive complications in 1873. He's acknowledging our presence." The barking spider is now part of the official tour.
